RELPT0042 Religions of the Book: Christianity (Roman & Orthodox)

 

Course Description

This is an introductory course in the basics of Christianity. Major topic areas include History, Worlds of Meaning, and Spiritual Practices. Student is expected to become aware of Christianity, understand its means of thought, and compare Christianity to one's own faith. The community course will only offer lecture material.  The Professional Technical course with add texts and assessment to the lectures.  Hours: 1

Outcomes

The successful student will:

  1. Develop a basic frame of understanding of the concepts, language, and skills related to Christianity
  2. Respect and appreciate ethical behavior in Christianity
  3. Compare and contrast Christianity to one's own faith
