Covid-19 Information

As partners in the education of our adult scholars, McCall College supports and respects the health of our community.  We will adjust and adhere to local and national health recommendations required for our community to prevent Covid-19 and other communicable infections.

 

The following protocols are in place:

 

All McCall College personnel--faculty, staff & students--must abide by any COVID-19 signage, notices, or policies posted or displayed in Park Place Professional Center and McCall College facilities.

 

Masks Mandatory for unvaccinated for COVID-19 individuals

  • Masks are required when entering, exiting and moving around  Park Place Professional Center and McCall College facilities if you are unvaccinated.
  • Please keep a mask on your person at all times for instant usage when required or requested.
  • Masks are optional when at your desk if you are not speaking.  Masks are mandatory if you are speaking.  Microphones will be made available to allow you to clearly communicate through a mask.

 

Entry Requirements

  • Faculty, staff and students must self-assess their personal health daily to determine health status.  Do not come to in-person class if you have any Covid-19, flu, or cold symptoms.  Students may request on-line attendance instructions at any time during a course.  Faculty may delay course requirements by up to 2 weeks  if a faculty member experiences symptoms of illness.
  • No symptoms of illness related to Covid-19, flu or colds are allowed for in-person attendance to any classroom.
  • Faculty and staff are authorized to ask any students questions related to symptoms of illness.  Faculty and staff are authorized to restrict access to physical classrooms if a person is suspected of illness.

 

Classroom Design

  • Instructors may choose any of three models: limited cap in physical classrooms; limited cap on Zoom; and hybrid of the two.  Any classroom may only have enough in-class students as can safety position desks with 6 feet of clearance between students and pods of students.  Pods are defined as students in prior relationships with other students who may sit in close proximity with each other.  The instructor has authority to adjust students to create safety between students and pods of students.
  • No more than 16 on line students may be admitted to any course without authorization from McCall College administrative staff.

 

Testing

  • McCall College does not offer in-house testing of students and staff.  McCall College personnel must seek testing at a local testing site (Rite-Aid or St. Luke's McCall Hospital)
  • Students are requested to offer testing results prior to re-entry into any McCall College facility.  Faculty are authorized to refuse entry to any student who has not self-reported testing results.
