The Conversation Swings

The conversation swings

       Past me

Rotating faster than the passing

       Of the dinner plates

My head hangs low

       As I watch my

Steps

       Catching the leftovers sp-

Ilt over from the edges

of the plates tangoing around

summit the mesa.
