RELPT022 Ancient Religions: Zoroastrianism

 

Course Description

This is an introductory course in the basics of Zoroastrianism. Major topic areas include History, Worlds of Meaning, and Spiritual Practices. Student is expected to become aware of Zoroastrianism, understand its means of thought, and compare Zoroastrianism to one's own faith. The community course will only offer lecture material.  The Professional Technical course with add texts and assessment to the lectures.  Hours: 1

Outcomes

The successful student will:

  1. Develop a basic frame of understanding of the concepts, language, and skills related to Zoroastrianism
  2. Respect and appreciate ethical behavior in Zoroastrianism
  3. Compare and contrast Paganism to one's own faith
  4. Learn and grow through discovering new concepts and patterns of faith.
