This course introduces a student with no background to computers and software. This course with offer an overview of computer hardware such as how to turn it on. The course will focus on the Windows 10 operating system. Apple or Mac products will not be reviewed. Students are invited to bring a PC laptop. A laptop from our Laptop Library may be available. Basic software will be reviewed. 1 hours.
1. Know basic computer architecture.
2. Understand all external and some internal parts of a computer.
3. Implement basic software available on Windows 10.
4. Know how activate secutiry on an Windows 10 computer.
5. Know how to add and upgrade software meet computing needs.
This is a non-accredited, Community course offering practical job skills for which you will receive a Certificate of Completion and transcripted hours, but not transcripted credit.
