McCall College is pleased to announce the approval of its computer lab as a Pearson VUE testing center. Dr. Bryan Williams, President of McCall College, and Woody Woodworth, Chair of the Board, spearheaded the program. Pearson VUE testing centers offer the GED exam; Information Technology (IT) exams from over 60 companies including Microsoft, CISCO, and IBM; and Professional Licensure and Certification exams for many professions. The testing center is located at 106 E. Park Street Suite 216, McCall in the Park Place Professional Center.
6 computer testing stations, enhanced security equipment, and an administrative center are included in the testing center. The original McCall College Computer Lab, equipped by grants from Payette Lakes Rotary Club, the Farmers Market, and Leader Works, was no longer up-to-date.
The equipment for the McCall College Pearson VUE Testing Center comes from a $3,500.00 grant from the Laura Moore Cunningham Foundation. McCall College thanks the Laura Moore Cunningham Foundation for its sponsorship of this needed resource for our community. In the past, students have had to travel to testing centers in Boise or Lewiston for their testing needs.
McCall College also thanks Nicki and Ron Coil, owners of Park Place Professional Center, for their support of McCall College and its classroom and lab requirements.
The computer lab will also serve local students who are interested in Microsoft Office Basic and Intermediate computer courses. The Idaho Department of Labor and the Idaho Division of Vocational Rehabilitation have sponsored many students in their computer software training needs. Any other instructors who would like to use the testing center are encouraged to contact McCall College.
Anyone interested in taking an exam within the next year or seeking more information in the Pearson VUE testing center is asked to compete a survey at http://www.McCallCollege.org click <Testing Center>.
Volunteers are also needed to proctor exams. Volunteers are required to complete certification as PearsonVUE test administrators prior to any proctoring activities. McCall College does not add any surcharge for students testing at the center. Student will only pay exam fees set by the exam originators.
